Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande-Butera (/,a:ri'a:n@ 'gra:ndeI/ AR -ee-AH-n@ GRAHN-day; [note 1] born June 26 the 26th of June, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and actress. Her fame is based on her four-octave vocal range as well as her trademark use of the whistle register, that have been praised from critics and the media. Grande has been awarded numerous awards over the course of her career. They include two Grammy Awards. One Brit Award. Two Billboard Music Awards. Three American Music Awards. Nine MTV Video Music Awards. Thirty Guinness World Records.
Grande's musical career began at the age of 15 with the Broadway musical "13". She rose to fame for playing Cat Valentine in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious (2010-2013) and Sam & Cat (2013-2014). Grande signed with Republic Records in 2011 after management of the label viewed YouTube videos of her singing songs. Her 1950s doo-wop-influenced pop and R&B debut album, [2] Yours Truly (2013) It topped the US Billboard 200, while the album's lead single, "The Way", was a top 10 hit on the US Billboard Hot 100. The album was instantly being compared to Mariah Carey's duet voice and whistle register.
In her third and second studio albums, My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she continued exploring pop and R&B. My Everything experimented with EDM and was a global hit with the singles "Problem", "Break Free" and "Bang Bang" and Dangerous Woman became her first of four consecutive top-five albums in the UK. Her personal struggles were a major influence on the trap-infused fourth (2018) and fifth studio album, Sweetener (2018), which were both critical and commercial successes. Sweetener won the Grammy Award as Best Pop Vocal Album. Thank U, Next was nominated as an Album of The Year and set the record in streaming for the most popular pop album. The singles "Thank U, Next", "7 Rings", and "Break Up with Your Girlfriend I'm Bored" have made Grande the first solo artist to be in the top three positions on the Hot 100 simultaneously and the first woman to make it to the top in the top spot of the UK Singles Chart. Grande beat the Hot 100 record for the most number-one debuts with Justin Bieber's collaboration for 2020 "Stuck with U" with Lady Gaga. The latter won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Grande's sixth studio album Positions (2020), focused her attention on trap music. Both the album and its lead single reached number one in the UK. Grande worked with The Weeknd on the remix of "Save Your Tears" and became her sixth US number one single.
